Three ways to handle samagri
Full kit — we deliver everything needed the day before, including perishables like flowers and mango leaves. Nothing for you to source.
Dry samagri only — the purohit brings the dry items (haldi, kumkum, akshata, havan samagri, threads, camphor). You arrange the fresh items: flowers, fruits, coconuts, mango and banana leaves, milk and any cooked naivedya. This is the choice for families who prefer to buy fresh items themselves.
Own arrangement — you source everything. We send the itemised list at booking so nothing is missed.
What is almost always needed
Haldi, kumkum, akshata (raw rice mixed with turmeric), coconuts, betel leaves and nuts, flowers, camphor, agarbatti, cotton wicks, lamp oil or ghee, and a copper or brass kalasha.
What families most often forget
Mango leaves for the kalasha and toran, a new cloth to place under the kalasha, small change for dakshina and daana, and a plate for the aarti. If a homa is included: dry cow-dung cakes or mango wood samidha, and a clear ventilated area.
Reusable items
The copper kalasha, the aarti plate and the lamp are kept and reused. Only consumables need reordering. Our standalone Daily Pooja Essentials Box covers the consumables for a household for about three months.
