What is performed
A commercial Vastu Shanti follows the same structure as a residential one but adds Lakshmi-Kubera pooja — Lakshmi for prosperity, Kubera for the safekeeping of wealth.
The sequence is Ganapati pooja, Punyahavachanam, Vastu Purusha prayers with offerings at the northeast corner, kalasha sthapana, Lakshmi-Kubera archana, and the ceremonial first transaction or first entry in a new ledger.
Timing
Morning slots before Rahu Kalam are preferred. Thursday and Friday are considered favourable for commercial openings. Deepavali Amavasya is the traditional day for the annual Lakshmi Pooja and ledger renewal for businesses.
Who should attend
All partners or directors should be present for the sankalpa — the prayer names the entity and its principals. Staff may attend the aarti and prasadam.
Practical points
Deep clean the premises beforehand. Keep the ribbon and scissors ready if there is an inauguration. Have the new ledger or account book on hand. A GST invoice is issued on the Standard and Elaborate packages so the expense can be claimed by the business.
